CIEH Risk Assessment Certificate In the UK, every company has a statutory duty to assess workplace risks that might be present. There is legislation in place stating that this assessment must be undertaken by a what is known as a "competent person". They have to examine business working practices so thay they can 1) establish what, if any, hazards and threats are attached to these practices 2) establish how likely it is that harm could come to the business and its staff as a result of these hazards 3) identify what action needs to be taken to remove or minimise these threats. The CIEH Risk Assessment Certificate is a one-day intensive course (with follow up) aimed at qualifying a member of the business as a "competent person" able to carry out a risk assessment for their company. The qualification will only be given following the attendee's successful completion of a risk assessment for their own company. This will be carried out over an agreed timescale, then returned to us for feedback to be given and marking carried out.
